AI is a general-purpose technology that can be applied to a wide range of problems in business and organizations. However, to make a successful application of AI, managers and employees need to be able to analyze practical situations and develop AI-based solutions that are desirable to their intended users. This course trains your team to harness the power of design thinking for AI.

The course was developed by Aron Lindberg and is based his extensive research and teaching into the use of AI in organizations. The course can be delivered in three different versions depending on the audience and their time availability:

  1. Workshop. The workshop version consists on one or two workshops aimed at senior managers who need to understand how to develop and lead design thinking practices in the organizations.
  2. Short course. The short version of the course focuses on the studying problems and conceptualizing promising AI-based solutions using human centered approach.
  3. Full 12-week course. In the full 12-week version course students develop in groups prototype solutions to problems that they have identified and analyzed using human-centered approach.

Learning Outcomes

Depending on the version, the course will equip your team to:

  1. Understand the human-centered design methodology as applied to AI (all versions)
  2. Analyze situations to understand where various AI solutions may be helpful (short course, full 12-week course)
  3. Apply human-centered design methodology to define potential AI solutions (short course, full 12-week course)
  4. Develop prototypes using AI to solve identified problems (full 12-week course)
